Local Civic Groups and Non Profits work at the Tsali Ultra in order to help raise funds for their individual cause(s). Without these groups, this event just simply could not occur. All these groups are geared at educating and growing to make the world we live in a better place. If you choose to donate to these groups, we will divide the money between the two groups if you don’t specify a specific charity.
Below are the groups we expect to work the 2024 Tsali Ultra:
1. Swain County Rescue - Swain County Rescue Squad is a volunteer rescue Squad located n the Swain County NC. Provide search & Rescue and back-up emergency medical service to the citizens of Swain County, NC. They help transport aid station crew and gear to remote areas, and responded to calls supporting runners across the trails. We couldn’t do it without them! Help show them support by making a donation when you register.
2. Nantahala Area SORBA - Nantahala Area SORBA is the voice for mountain biking in Way Western North Carolina. Our chapter is the primary custodian of the Tsali trails and keeps them in tip-top shape for riders around the globe to enjoy. We advocate to improve and expand off-road riding opportunities in our area, and volunteer at events that promote cycling such as kids' rodeos and races.
